Notice: FAA REMOTE ID Requirements For Unmaned Aircraft.
Foothill Flyers Has Been Approved By the FAA as an FAA Recognized Identification Area (FRIA).
The FAA intends to activate its REMOTE ID rule for remote controlled aircraft in the Fall of 2023 (currently scheduled to begin September 16, 2023). One of the ways to comply with Remote ID is to apply for FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA) status.
Final Approval Granted : Foothill Flyers (AMA #5115) now has official FRIA status granted by the FAA from 7/11/2023 through 7/11/2027. Clubs that apply and are granted FRIA status will be able to fly aircraft at their flying sites without the use of a broadcast module in the aircraft. Learn To Fly
At Foothill Flyers we have trainers that are experienced RC pilots who are willing to help you learn to fly RC aircraft. We will buddy box with you and make your first flights successful. You will be flying solo in no time!

We Fly Electric, Nitro and Gas
At Foothill Flyers, we have all types of RC Pilots. This includes electric, nitro, gas and jet aircraft. We like them all, whatever your favorite aircraft, bring it and let's go flying on our 2000 foot grass runway and100 foot wide.

Fly-Ins
Foothill Flyers sponsor Fly-In's at least a couple times a year. Watch our event calendar for specific dates and times. The Fly-In is free for spectators and usually a small fee for RC pilots who wish to fly that day.
