Our Club Officers
Ready To Fly
As President of Foothill Flyers RC Club, I would like to extend an invitation to those in search of an RC flying club. I am a radio control airplane hobbyist and have been flying on and off most of my life. I started out flying control line airplanes. At fifteen and also at age sixteen, I won the slow rat race competition at the King Orange Event in Jacksonville, Florida. I am an ordained minister and the founder and president of Today's Ministries. I and my wife have traveled to Mexico, Honduras and Romania working in several different capacities in our Lords service. Recently, I have been chosen to be the President of the Fellowship of Christian Modelers, (FCM). |
Let's Go Fly
My wife and I have two daughters and two grandchildren. We moved to the United States in 1997. At the age of 15 years old, I decided to do a three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship program as a pattern maker. Little did I know at the time, this would be a great asset to my future hobby of remote-control airplanes and building from scratch these aviation marvels.
In 2003, my path crossed with the vice president of a local remote-control flying club. We began talking about Remote Control Airplanes and I caught the bug. I went on to purchase my first R/C Airplane a SIG Kadet LT-40. After building three ARF airplanes, I started my first scratch-built plane a 45” Sporty Ace Biplane. After that; I built a SIG Kougar with a .61 glow engine; although the plane was designed for a .46 glow engine. In 2006, I built my first giant scale warbird a Ziroli designed Corsair with a 92” wingspan. |
